Fruit at Wal-Mart

So I did a quick shopping trip yesterday to get some items at Wal-Mart (Cagans Crossings) and Publix. Of course price matching to see which was the best deal. Wal-Mart had strawberries on sale for $1/pt and cantaloupe for 75cents each! Score as at Publix the strawberries were 2/$5 and cantaloupe $2ea.
Well my kids ate through 3pts of strawberries in one night so I was at a different Wal-Mart (John's Lake in Clermont), and their strawberries were $1.66/pt! I asked if they price-matched other Wal-Marts and they said no. The manager was at my register so it was easy to ask. I told her of the prices at the other Wal-Mart at Cagans and she said she would drive down there too! So I told them I didn't want the strawberries.

So just FYI, Wal-Mart will not price match other Wal-Marts and check out the stores around you as prices deffinitely can be different. If you want the best deal you WILL Need to shop around. Good things the Cagans Wal-Mart is on the way home from work for my husband from Disney so he will pick up some more tonight!!
